THE STORY BEHIND AVEE KIDS
When Our Kids Start Doing It "By Themselves"
Avee was born from that bittersweet moment every parent knows—the day our kids slowly step out of our arms and into the world.
From the day they are born, we hold them close—every bath, every wipe, every oil massage done with gentle hands and a thousand unspoken prayers.
And then, slowly, something changes.
One day they’re 5… then 7… then 10.
They start packing their own bags, tying their own shoelaces, insisting,
“I’ll do it myself, Amma… I’ll do it, Papa.”
This age—5 to 12 years—is special.
They go to school, run in playgrounds, chase footballs and kho-kho lines, climb slides, fall, get up, and laugh like nothing happened. They’re out in the sun, the dust, the pollution, the chlorinated pool water. Every day, their little bodies and hair take on more than we can see.
And at the same time, they’re learning to manage life on their own:
Bathing, brushing, washing their hair, using toiletries—
Mom and Dad slowly move from “doing for them” to “guiding from behind.”
As parents, our hearts feel two things at once:
Pride that they’re growing up.
And a quiet ache: Are they really protected?
We know this feeling personally—because we are those parents too.
We have daughters in the same age group. We’ve watched them come home sweaty, tanned, sticky, with tangled hair and dry skin… and we’ve felt that familiar guilt:
- Is this baby shampoo enough anymore?
- Is this adult body wash too harsh for her skin?
- Am I doing the right thing for her?
WHO WE ARE
We are working parents, just like you. When we went looking for answers, we mostly found two shelves:
Baby products—too mild, made for newborns, not active school kids.
Adult products—too strong, harsh chemicals, not meant for developing skin and hair.
And kids aged 5–12? They were almost… forgotten.
There were a few kids products, yes. But when we read the labels, felt the textures, and looked at the ingredient lists, something in us said,
“This is not what we truly want for our child.”
So, as parents first—and brand founders next—we decided to do something about it.
That’s how Avee was born.
